How we’re reimagining spaces, stories, and systems for one of India’s leading preschool brands, Little Millennium.
At FATLEG, we usually work with founders and creative heads. But when Little Millennium approached us, we had the chance to work with a different kind of end user, children. And that changed everything.
Little Millennium isn’t just another preschool chain. With over 800 centres across India, it’s a brand that plays a major role in shaping how children think, feel, and grow in their earliest years. That’s a big responsibility. And when the team brought us in, it wasn’t just for decoration, it was for definition.
More Than a Mascot, A Sense of Belonging
Our work began with understanding how children interact with their space. We didn’t want to overwhelm them. We wanted to invite them in.
That’s how Fawna, the baby deer mascot, was born. Designed to be a gentle guide rather than a cartoonish distraction, Fawna embodies warmth, curiosity, and emotional connection. She shows up not just on the walls, but in activity zones, corridor trails, and brand collateral, always gently encouraging, never shouting.
Space That Teaches, Even When It’s Quiet
We looked at each school environment not just as a space to decorate but as an opportunity to teach. From directional signage to mural storytelling, everything had a function: to make the child feel safe, curious, and seen.
Classroom walls carry simple, purposeful designs that reinforce themes without visual overload. Reception zones are warm and welcoming, helping parents feel the care behind the brand. Staircases, washrooms, and even cupboard shutters became surfaces that communicated.
A Brand Book That Scales With Growth
With hundreds of schools and growing, consistency was key. We designed a full brand playbook for centre owners and partners to roll out the visual system with clarity and intent. From mascot usage to wall zones, from tone of voice to environmental guidelines, it’s all in there.
This ensures that whether you’re in Kochi or Kanpur, a Little Millennium school still feels like… well, Little Millennium.
It’s Not Just a School. It’s Their First World.
This project reminded us what design can do when we get out of the way and think like the user. When that user is a child, the challenge is bigger, but so is the joy.
We’re still working with the Little Millennium team, expanding ideas, refining visuals, and shaping a new kind of early learning experience, one detail at a time.
Because when it comes to young minds, everything matters.
Want to build a brand that’s more than what meets the eye? Let’s talk.
Because at FATLEG, we design for the better.
